Severn Trent Water report really useful...not.

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Severn Trent Water report really useful...not.

As I wrote this in the wrong place (naughty, naughty), I'll just paste what I wrote here

Why are Severn Trent so utterly crap #-o . Everything that I've read (mostly on this forum) about what you need to know from the water report doesn't appear on Severn Trent's. Is it worth pursuing them by phone\post or are they just as (un)helpful as their online report. Has anyone got a sensible answer from these doughnuts?

Write to them and ask for the calcium and magnesium figures the rest can be picked up from their schedule 4 report available online. If you don't get an answer first time put in a complaint they will have to reply according to their complaints procedure. Alkalinity can be worked out by deduction and confirmed using Daab's test kit if it is still available
