Hi guys,
Where do those of you that use calcium carbonate buy it from?
I found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ProRep-Calci- ... 3f0bd745cb
It does say "not for human consumption", but would that be suitable, or is there a better source of it somewhere?

Re: Calcium carbonate
I buy it from my LHBS, labelled "precipitated chalk". I'm not sure I'd trust pet shop supplies.
Cheers

Yep, as Dunc says, Youngs do small 50g tubs of precipitated chalk that are available from many home brew suppliers. Its generally about £1.20 plus P&P, though some can charge a lot more. I'd be interested if anyone knows suppliers of bigger/cheaper quantities though.
Cheers

Thanks guys.
I had looked on a few homebrew sites and couldn't see it. It turns out I just wasn't looking hard enough.

Hop and grape have 100g for £1.79 or 1kg for £7.14Kev888 wrote: I'd be interested if anyone knows suppliers of bigger/cheaper quantities though.
