Bottled Water Bicarbonates/Alkalinity - CaCo3 or HCO3?

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Come on brain boxes, tell me the answer. When you read the bicarbonate levels on bottled water, are they quoting the figure as CaCO3 or HCO3?

As I said yesterday on the other forum they are quoting it as HCO3-

Well at least they appear to be doing so when I measure it just to make sure :roll:
