Hi guys,
Am I correct in thinking I can remove chlorine sufficiently by pouring my brew water back and forth between vessels to help it aerate it? I forgot to get camden tabs but want to get started today.
Removing chlorine via water transfer. No Camden tabs

I do have ascorbic acid to, but not sure how much to add.

That will get rid of dissolved chlorine, but some water supplies have chloramine in them which is more stable and won't be removed so easily.
A prolonged boil will get rid of it, but obviously that's not ideal - more info here -

all depends on how much is in your water to start with, i brewed with the local tap water for years n years without any dechlorination of the water, If your water is loaded to the point you can notice the smell.. perhaps a dash to the supermarket for some bottled filtered tap water @ circa 10p per litre might be worthwhile. Ive used the premium tesco ashbeck water for the odd brew that has benefited from a softer water than comes from our tap before, - you get a free pet demijon with every 5l
if you have some metabisulphate and some drug dealer/jewlers scales you could weigh out the dose needed..
bet you wont run out of campden tabs again....

Another option that helps speed chlorine volatilization is to spray the water into your tank or kettle with a fine sprayer. The mist will evolve more chlorine. You should be able to smell it as you spray. Don't rely on this being a complete removal though!

In the winter you might be okay, they tend to put chloramine in the water more in summer. In winter the near freezing water temp will prevent most microbial growth so they use less or just use chlorine.
