I must say that the most important thing that I have learned from this forum is the addition of a campden tablet (a teaspoon of campden powder in my case) to my water before brewing. No more home brew twang. Seriously the best thing I have learned. I recently opened the last bottle of the last brew I did without the campden addition. I really had no idea how bad it really was until I tried it after I started brewing decent beer. That last bottle got flushed with no regrets.
