I siad i was NOT going to post on here again, because of stupid answers.......
Calcium: 108.0 ppm *
Magnesium: 5.7 ppm*
Sodium: 18.3 ppm
Sulfate: 62.4 ppm
Chloride: 32.3 ppm
Toatal Alkliny as CaCO3 223(tested with a kit many times)
Total Hardness as CaCo3 293
PH: 7.5 (tested with ph meter 7.3 bang on)
Here is for Swindon-central.. * these are only a guesses, but im sure im very close after some research, Swindon does vary a bit....... e.g Old-Town has harder water and North-Swindon has softer water.
Edit: I did send off for a complete report, but they send a pdf report, which anyone can download with a postcode, which i already had, so ive sent off again...I will post when i get it! 2 months later, i expect!!!!!!!

Dear Blah Blah
Thank you for your email of 8 April 2009.
I have confirmed with our Water Quality Department much of the information
you require is on our
water quality reports. Our water quality reports are compiled according to
our regulatory parameters
set by the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI). Therefore, we are unable to
supply alternative
measurements or data.
If the substance you require data on does not appear, this is because we
are not required to test for it.
You may be interested to know that Suplhate appears on our reports as So4.
P.H. is listed as
Hydrogen Iron, and the measurement is ph, and the total water hardness as
CaCo3 = 293ppm.
It is also worth noting that water quality report for 2008 will shortly be
available.
I am sorry that we have not been able to assist you on this occasion.

Portsmouth Water Information
Water Quality enquires 023 92 499888
Total Alkalinity Figure expressed as 288.7ppms Hc03 divided by 1.22 = 236.6ppms CaCo3
This figure was expressed over a 12 month period.
The reading was given after being asked which part of the city i lived in,which is PO5,but i cant see it makes any difference across the city, as cloudy, chalky water i have consumed in different parts of the city all look the same to me.

Re: Local Water Reports.
Here's some water info I got from Scottish Water which covers most of the North East of Scotland. It has their hardness classification of the water (soft etc)followed by the hardness expressed firstly as a calcium figure and then as a Calcium Carbonate figure (both in Mg/litre). The data comes from 2003 which apparently was the last year Scottish Water was obliged to collect it. Hope it's of use to someone. If anyone perchance needs a more detailed water report for the Badentinan supply (Elgin and surrounding area) I have it and can email it to them.
Cheers
Gerry

North East Fife
-----------------
Data from two sources, as most measurements are no longer compulsory, from Scottish Water for Lomond Hills Water Treatment Works and Newton of Lathrisk and Knowehead Boreholes:
2008 Lomond Hills/Newton of Lathrisk/Knowshead zone
2001 North East Fife zone
Quantity - Year - Measurements - Unit - Min - Mean - Max
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Alkalinity - 2001 - 4 - mg/l - 43.0 - 90.3 - 119
Ca - 2001 - 6 - mg/l - 16.2 - 21.7 - 25.6
Mg - 2001 - 7 - mg/l - 1.9 - 10.0 - 16.5
Na - 2008 - 8 - mg/l - 5.4 - 6.3 - 7.4
SO4 - 2008 - 8 mg/l - 22.1 - 26.4 - 30.9
Cl - 2008 - 8 - mg/l - 7.1 - 9.6 - 13.1
That's quite a variation on the alkalinity there, so you'll prob want to measure that each time you brew with one of those kits Chris-x1 recommends
