If you could get spring water what treatment would it need?

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

If you could get spring water what treatment would it need before being usable?
I just remembered that a local kennels and cattery give the animals spring water, I thought it might be a idea for the future to see if I could fill a bucket so to speak?!

I guess it would have to be boiled to kill any nasties but I don't suppose it would need the Campden tablet.

sounds like tap water is the easier option... we'll have to get an in-line filter tap when we move house.
