Tetra 6:1 Aquarium strips

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Tetra 6:1 Aquarium strips

I bought a pack of these as it stated it tests Cabonate Hardness (KH) and General Hardness (GH)

I've tested my water and the scale to measure the strips are in degrees of hardness (dg) How do I convert this into CaC03 or HC03 in ppm to give me figures I can work with?

My GH figure is 6 degrees and KH is 5 degrees.

Thanks Chris. Looks like I've bought the wrong stuff; they didnt have the salifert kit in the local pet shop :evil: Looks like I'll have to get it online.
