I have never tested and never treated my water (except for a campden tablet) I live in the North west (West Lancs) and have brewed on and off for about 20 years. I do almost all my brewing as All Grain with the odd extract brew and a rare kit.
I think I am probably just lucky with the water, and the LHBS x 3 have not made and big noises about how important treatment is. In fact one discouraged it.
What I was wondering is although I am happy with the beer I produce, could it be even better
Is there a simple method of treatment without testing (I will do it one day) that could be applied to my water, or water in general, that may enhance it or at least not make it worse.............Come on chris-x1, this is your area of vast knowledge......comments anyone please........I'm anticipating the answer will be a simple NO!
