Water Treatment Kit

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Water Treatment Kit

Post by dr_watts » Wed Apr 14, 2010 12:13 am

Just noticed there have been quite a few kits being put together by people for testing water and as I work in the water treatment game I thought I could add my input here.

We do syringe based methods and if anyone needs more accurate or in depth testing I can get hold of reagents for the following:

Calcium Hardness
Total Hardness
Chloride
Alkalinity
Sulphite (although a bit rubbish)

and just about anything else.

We buy huge bottles of the stuff for the office at trade prices and use a titration method so if anyone has a requirement I should be able to sort them out cheaply with full instructions.

I can also get hold of filter housings and carbon filters etc for removing chlorine as well as cheap sanitisers such as sodium hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide (although posting these might be an issue).

PM or reply if you need any help.

:D
Genius and insanity are but a small step apart. I often feel that I have taken that step.
