Raspberry mountain

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Raspberry mountain

Post by vinceg » Tue Jul 26, 2011 11:45 pm

My raspberry canes have produced a bumper harvest this year (now I've learned how to prune them properly!!) I've got just under 7lbs of the beauties in the freezer. Suggestions for producing alcoholic beverage from them would be gratefully received!!

The blackberries are now starting to ripen too if anyone has any ideas for these (these aren't brambles, they're proper cultivated blackberries, big buggers they are!!)

I think you might be in the wrong bit of the forum, viewforum.php?f=13 might yield better responses :)

Had a go on the soon-to-be released Raspberry Stout from Bristol Beer Factory boys, and it was amazing - essentially, they made a Milk Stout and conditioned it with 25kgs of berries in the barrel for a few months ...
