using grahams calculator for BIAB

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

using grahams calculator for BIAB

I just want to check the way to use the water treatment calculator when doing BIAB.
I understand you treat all liquor with crs,but for the salt additions do you add the mash and boil salt seperately (I assume you do) or do you add them all at the start as all the water is there from the start .
thanks in advance
Paul

Hi Paul .
Greetings from Athens I use the CRS/DLS combination as you ,as I can understand from your other posts.I brew with BIAB mashing method and I add all the salt additions to mash since I don't use any sparge water later on .My mash ph measurmets are on the 5,2-5,6 range .
There is an excel file called nwater treatment calculator from Craftbrewers.co.uk which calculates CRS/DLS additions more easily .
Send me a p.m. to send it to you if you can't locate it on the net.
Also you can find me at the www.beer-deli.gr forum same nick name
