Just popped down to my local fish shop to buy a Salifert kit to test for Alkalinity.
They didnt have one on the shelves so enquired if they had any in stock, only to be told they are no longer manufactured, anyone else confirm this?
Cheers

Because there's no demand from marine aquarium keepers anymore?

I brew therefore I ... I .... forget
Re: Salifert Test Kit for Alkalinity
There's no mention of them being discontinued on their wibbly web site - http://www.salifert.com/pt/kh.htm and there doesn't seem to be any shortage online. I think someone can't be arsed to restock.

Hope not as I will soon need another kit, might pop into Notcutts pet shop in Maidstone at the weekend and see if they still have them in stock.

As Naich has said they are still available on line, I just didnt want to pay postage for such a small item, I`ll give the local garden centre a try tomorrow.

Not sure if this is just coincidence but I tried to buy a kit in a pet shop in Maidstone where I've got the kit before but they no longer stock Salifert but they have the Tetra alkalinity test kits, before I go and waste my money has anyone tried these kits or know if they are suitable?.
