Am I to assume that all the additions needed to be added are to the kettle? Doesn't say that any need to be added to the mash
Thanks

No you are not to assume that. Salt additions to the mash are most important in order to get the mash pH in the right ball park in order for good enzymic action. It depends though on the salt content of your tap water. If it's high in calcium you might not need any further additions. Some calculators give an overall quantity whereby you can split between mash and sparge/boil. With the mash it's important to add the salts to the grist and mix well in rather than to the water.
Which calculator are you using?

Thanks Dave I usually treat all my brewing liquor as a rule before starting its just that some treatment calcs split the liquor and the mash and are treated with salts seperately
Re: water treatment calc
When using Graham's calculator I always add the water treatment to the liqour before brewing.
You only need add directly to the mash if you're adding stuff like calcium carbonate, that doesn't dissolve easily in plain water.
