Because they are a food product they need an expiry, ignore it, they will be fine. They are used by breweries all over the world because they are good;)
If you are looking for clearer wort then take a look at Brewbrite, it is brilliant.

I never use any finings whatsoever apart from in the boil.

The Protafloc granules I use are nearly two years past their 'best before' date. They still do the business.

It's a 50g tub. I use 0.75g each brew so they'll last a long, long time!

As above (and as with so many other things), they will be fine, assuming you are storing them somewhere dry/airtight anyway.

For some reason I got carried away and bought lots over a decade ago. They're still being used; I can detect no difference at all in the tablets or their performance.

Yep fine. You can run a wee test by drawing off 100ml of hot wort, adding a little protafloc and watching the magic!
