great eatern worry
my great eastern has had nearly three days in fv i checked gravity last night and was 1020ish, i checked again this morning and was the same, should i be worried bout it being stuck yet or am i just being impatient
well i started my great eastern on sunday with safale04 and nutient and it got off to a good start with a good head it got down to about 1020 yesterday morning but isnt shifting much i added the supplied woodford yeast yesterday but still no change its kept a good temp between 22 and 24deg ive only ever had one beer thats fermented to the right gravity and that was my coopers ipa, is this beer doomed
Its not necessarily doomed. First, try tasting a sample. I know it will be very green but it will give you an idea about how sweet it tastes and whether it is acceptable of not.
If not, I take it you have tried rousing the yeast back into suspension? Someone has suggested that adding a bit of spraymalt has restarted a stuck fermentation. You could try that in conjunction with rousing (make sure everything is sanitised though and avoid introducing air to the wort).
Another option is Dry Beer Enzyme. If your wort is still tasting very sweet them it can be used to break down the complex sugars into much easier 'yeast food' that will get it going again. Beware though, it will likely result in a very low FG and may leave the beer tasting very thin and dry. I used it on a stuck Muntons brew and it went all the way down to 1002. However it still tasted good!

well im on day 10 now and its gone down to around 1014, going to have to bottle this one as santa has said xmas cant come in november, not sure how much priming sugar to use, i normally use 80g of light spray malt to prime boiled and added to beer but most of my bottled beers have been a bit on the fizzy side and im more into ales like the ones at beer fests with minimum fizz, any suggestions on how to prime this, and what would happen if i bottled without priming
i also plan on bottling maybe sat(day13) or sun(day14) will this be ok

well its bottling day for my great eastern today, just sanatizing me stuff now for the lengthy process, not going to add any priming to this as i reckon it doesnt need it and daab reccomended not to if i like a low carbonated cask ale style beer.
