Was just wondering if you are making a wit can you use torrefied wheat as the unmalted wheat portion of the grist? Or do you have to use flakes or something else?
Think i might have found the answer to my own question, came across this on the beertech website.
This un-flaked Wheat can be used to great effect in Witbiers, Stouts and Speciality Beers where it imparts a strong, firm head.
Details
Use: 10% in Ales and Stouts or up to 40% in Witbiers.
Colour: 3.0 EBC
Our grain is sold in multiples of 0.1Kg (i.e. 100g). To purchase, for example 2.4Kg, simply enter a basket quantity of 2.4
