Bottled my Coopers IPA last night.
I bottled my Coopers IPA last night and had a taste. I was surprised at how clean it tasted, almost like cold tea with a slight bitterness at the end, the thing is it didn't taste of alcohol at all but it must be as its not sweet at all. Could this very clean taste be down to the Nottingham yeast?
I noticed mine was quite watery with a bitter finish at bottling...(last week)
Tried it about 4 days after bottling and the bitterness was gone and had a nice solid IPA foundation, but not very flavoursome.
I'm hoping as DaaB says, the flavours will start to develop over the next couple of weeks...let us know how it flourishes
I used the bundled coopers yeast and 1kg spraymalt.
