Friend of mine got a barrel of this in for his 40th last year. Nice stuff. Hope it went well. Guess you might be cooling by now

I am green with envy. I've been fitting carpet tiles today in the wifes shop so no brewing. Hopefully one day next week though. Excellent pictures mate. Dont forget that you will need the humble hobnob to dunk in this one as he is surely the marine of all biscuits

Managed to iron out a few of the bugs in the brewery this time. Insulating the mash tun meant that the RIMS could actually keep up with the heat loss and worked perfectly. It did struggle to hit the mashout temp of 72 degC but that's a luxury really. I used an old fermenter lid on top of the mashtun also when recirculating and sparging, this keeps the recirc manifold nicely in position and for the sparge stops liquor splashing upwards out of the tun.
Despite diluting near the end of the boil I ended up at 1047 which means that this TEA will be a bit stronger than the original

Nice One Andy.
On reflection after our 'TEA tasting' on Friday - I think your tweaking of the recipe should yield very good results, though that OG will probably put it midway between TEA & RIP catagory in strength? Should be a very intersting & tasty brew!

We'll have to organise a tasting session
