I can vouch for that comment myself. I was lucky enough to try it courtesy of Garth. As a traditional bitter lover, I can honestly say that if commercial stouts tasted like this I would think about changing my drinking habits. I am happy with the odd pint of stout now & again, but I certainly could drink this stout on a regular basis.Garth wrote:After the resounding success of the last batch and everyone who tasted it loved it

Hey Roger, I don't think mine got down much further if at all
a quick check of the records and a sample from the cornie reveal that:
Decembers batch gave OG 1052 FG 1020 giving 4.3% ABV
This current batch was OG 1058 FG 1019/20 giving 5-5.1% ABV
both used S-04 and both were mashed at 67-68C the later batch may have been slightly higher.
so it looks like that's what yours is going to stay at, the flavour with the heavy body and mouthfeel all combine to make this beer what it is, so I wouldn't be worried about a higher FG, it'll be one of your best beers I reckon
