Yea it can be a bit of a pain, academic slight of hand, but unfortunately theory it’s just that, only mathematicians have the luxury of theorems that prove a case to infinity.

At least this thread has shown that homebrew hasn’t killed of to many brain cells yet :wink:

Your comment reminds me of the tale of Ronnie Regan when he was being shown around by the Joint Chiefs and he asks where the room that was in Dr Strangelove was :shock: :shock:
Whether that was true, it fits round a man who came up with the Star Wars policy.

In a dim and distant time I remember that this was about Durden Park, I have notice on they're site http://www.durdenparkbeer.org.uk/, that they are open to new members currently. I myself could not make the commitment, but I am sure there are some members from Jims that may be intrested. And I notice Sevener is mentioned on the links page.

Complete respect to you OB-i don't mind a good debate, in fact i postively enjoy it. I never think i am right or the other is wrong. I just enjoy people with an opinion that they are willing to express.

Jims Beer Kit must be the best forum in the world :D

Micheal Chrichton was playing around with a few ideas for his book Jurassic park, and came up with the idea of Dino DNA extraction from insects trapped in amber . . . He took it to the guys at MIT and said "Is it possible?" . . . . MIT's response was "F*CK ME!, What a brilliantly simple idea . . . . Of course unless you had a multi Cray computer setup there is no way you could do the sequencing in a couple of lifetimes" . . . . The multi Cray Setup was then worked into the story.

Changing the subject...
I ordered my Durden Park book today. I'm hoping one of the recipe's will be my next brew. I'm hoping to increase my output as soon as i can start brewing again.

a very good buy, even if you don't intend to try their recipe its a great little read.

Martin, so it was you?? There was mention of interest from new Zealand...er...recently.

Do try the recipes. They are a classic examples of something that appears very simple but that turns out very good. The key is maturation.
