Just started drinking my Admirals, and noticed that some are better than others. Some of them have a really bitter taste like the one I sampled after a couple of weeks but some are more mellow. Is this just a case of them needing a bit longer to mature?
Also, most of them are still a bit cloudy, unless the yeast is quite loose and I'm pouring some into the glass, maybe i'll just be more careful next time and pour a bit less.
Admirals Reserve
Made a mistake with my first ever kit (admirals) and added a kilo of moscovado sugar thinking it was needed, however it fermented out perfectly, was a bit bitter at two weeks and a superb(in my inexperienced view) by week 8 and was still a very nice pint when finally polished off in week 20.
