Brupaks - Best Before Date

Hello all,

I've got a Brupaks Pride of Yorkshire kit that went out of date in July 2008.

Will the 2 cans be salvageable or will they get the inky flavour I've heard about?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'd brew with it rather than throw it away and not know whether it was drinkable or not.

Aye, I'll give it a go in the morning.

It's a Birkby Bitter - I'll boil up some Northern Brewer's I have to get a bit of flavour into it, and maybe some crystal.

The extract in the cans will be absolutely fine.

If there any hop teabags, etc, they may be a little stale, so adding some hops might be a good idea. To be extra careful, replace the yeast, but that's probably okay too.

The hop teabag has already gone.

Am going to use the yeast from this weeks Almondbury Old, or Safale US-05.

Have got some WLP023 but dont want to waste it on this just incase it is inky after all.
