Geordie Fumbling

Im about to make up a Geordie Mild kit but i have about a half kilo of crystal malt kicking about, some golding whole leaf hops and some northern brewer and challenger hop pellets.
My question is pretty straightforward.
Ive had the geordie mild kit before and for a budget brew i was quite happy with it but what if any diffrence will be made should i tamper with the kit by adding some/all of the ingrediants above?

Also for sugar, im gonna make up a mix of treacle, muscavado and glucose powder is ive found this worked quite nicely on my last geordie mild

You'll probably get most benefit from adding a few grams of Goldings to the primary (preferably in a boiled hop bag). (You've probably made this by now, though. )
