Hope I got this right, I had problems with screw cap DJ's, shaving the corks worked but I used them for bulk storage, much easier.

Yup, it worked, cheers for the help, much appreciated

Having only done three cider kits since February and coming up to my first year as a member on this illustrious forum (and by extention one year of brewing), I have decided to return to my roots!

To this end, and having recently switched from shopping at Sainsbury's to Tesco's and the different ingredients I've spotted as a result:

4 litres Tymbark Apple and Cherry drink
Bread yeast

8)

Pictures to follow shortly.
Hi!

I've done quite a few cherry turbos with champagne yeast. Wonderfull stuff. Full of fizz, hint of cherry but ... dry as a salted nun's crotch.

The polish stuff is good.... but if you have an iranian shop nearby look out for the badboy is this thread...

Owwww.....there are 3 left in the drinks fridge..... I think I might have to crack one open

Stopped bubbling a couple of days ago but I've been too busy moving furniture for the carpet fitters.

Going to grab six empty PET bottle out the garage later and get bottling.

Down to a flat 1.000 and dry as Ghandi's flip-flop but still retaining some "cherry".

Bottled them up, pics to follow.

YEAH MY T.C IS VERY DRY, i primed with a bit of brewers sugar and tasted slightly better, is there anything better to give it that wont ferment and make it taste sweeter??

Try lactose from your local brew shop. Failing that, if you don't hate artificial sweeteners, those work fine too.

Gradually add them to the brew and make a note of how much you needed to add to make the drink palatable.

Rack it a few times to make sure there's zero yeast and top up with more juice, adds flavour as well

Broke out the first bottle tonight.

Mixed it 50/50 with lemonade and lots of ice. The wife quaffed hers in no time so it can't have been bad.

It wasn't bad to be honest, nice cherry hints to it, tasted a little off but that might have been as a result of the bread yeast, I suspect it would be a lot more palatable with a decent yeast.
