Howdy

Had anyone placed a sucessful order with candirect for corny spares? I've placed two orders online (attempting to pay with paypal) but neither have resulted in any feedback. Im after a couple of lids, spare seals etc...

I have in the past (6 months ago). The online system is not fully automatic. Your order request has to be processed by Candirect (Stefan) before you get a definite price and a PayPal request. I found a phone call a day or so afterwards helped speed things along. However, I think others (Vossy?) on this forum have had more difficulties, so may be worth waiting for an opinion from someone with more recent experience. It's a shame as they have a vast selection of spares and reasonably good prices.

I tried to order some cornie spares from them about 1 month ago. After about two weeks of hearing nothing I emailed them, I did get a reply but that said they would try and get around to my order the next week. After that I gave up. I then got the parts from The Hop and Grape. They still took a couple of weeks and weren't exactly what I needed however it was miles better than Candirect. I'd try Hope and Grape if I were you.

Can better you on your Candirect experience zebs, if you'll pardon the pun.

It took me 4 weeks and several e-mail/phone calls to get a invoice from candirect.

I paid for my goods on the 7th of Sept (191 euro's worth) and haven't heard anything since.

I have e-mailed Stefan in both English and German with no reply forthcoming

Not happy

I try to be a 'glass half full' as opposed to a 'glass half empty' kind of chap but I think in this case we may have to admit that Candirect have smashed the glass and spilt whatever was in it on the floor..... Safe to say, I wouldn't recommend them!

Neither would I, even if the parts turned up gold plated

I've used them for cornie spares, lids, poppets etc, about a year ago and found them spot on, helpfull and really quick too. Seems things have changed for the worse!

This is a reply that I received to a query on my order. I sent the query in German on the 23/07/06 and got the reply on the 05/10/06!

Dear Jean-Pierre,

did you receive your delivery? If not, we´ll send it tomorrow (lids, o-rings, plug-ins, cornelius-valves).

Kind regards

Stefan, candirect

nice collection of spares/new bits there Vos,

eight cornys in operation, you animal you.

what are we looking at for that lot? only ask as am sick of bottling. Was discussing with John in Hop&Grape the other day, but didn't enquire about spares/prices, will probably be going down the 'shiny club' route soon.

Germany it was.

I think a slow boat from China would have got it here faster
