Bigun visted the place on Monday and spoke to the on site head brewer (no previous brewing experience) and he was using dried yeast of some description so it should be readily available

hmm, I wonder... if I bottle some Muntons, stick a couple of pictures of Russel Brand and Wozza on the label if I could sell it for a couple of quid a bottle down the car boot...

I could call it Sachs' revenge

This is another one in the format of getting "celebrity" amateurs to learn a skill and (supposedly) show how easy it is. If I were a real master brewer I'd be chewing my fist by now.

Dan Lepard, expert baker, lost out to the Hairy Bikers for the presenter's role in their recent series. There's an interesting thread here where Dan comments on the prospect that these kinds of programmes can lead the general public to having a skewed perception of what are highly skilled activities.

I started out watching this with high hopes. I now think they deserve to fail totally.

They have absolutely no respect for their punters, the public or any one they deal with.

Their bottled beers will appeal to those Who have to be told what to do drink or eat and will hopefully go out of fashion very quickly.

I liked Boone but was never much for MBB.

A pair of poncey condescending tossers who i would not let in my garage never mind my house. A bit of joke tv really. Still if it gets a few people off the supermarket tat and into making their own(by learning on here of course) all the better.

Was at Cropton recently. (great beers) If you take the brewery tour you will see that a good portion of the Morrisey fox beer is brewed by Cropton brewery!!
Stick to the cropton tipple, superb ale!! Has anybody got a receipe for any of these!!

So you'd highly recommend going for a few pints in their pub then? :D
