That's the same as the pumps I use and that's the bloke I bought them from.

Is that the March May one the Harmony hut guy had? From the pics I've got one just like it but haven't tried it out yet.
Yep, arrived today, but as with everything lately it's not that simple.

All stickers on the housing have been removed and the anti tamper sticker over the two parts of the housing has had half removed :?

I've contacted him again as this pump definately looks used and/or reconditioned and was sold as new

He's got back to me to assure me it's new and if I'm not happy, has offered a full refund...

Fair enough 8)

Stuff from Johnson's arrived today and to follow in the vein of recent V1 happeneings they've sent the wrong hose

Gr8 stuff

V1 brewery trials continue

New pump plumbed in...at least I thought it was. A giant water spewing uncontrollable snake has visited the vossy household twice tonight

What do I know, we'll, the pump works a treat and it's very quiet, a happy Mrs Vossy

Non-reinforced tube may do the job but it's failed on me twice tonight
The problem is that the heat exchanger is obviously causing back pressure and this in turn is widening the bore of the clear hose, which in turn is forcing it off the 15mm copper tube that I've pushed it onto.

I tried reinforced tubing straight into my push fittings but that also leaked.
Hence I'm using 3" lengths of 15mm copper pipe to push fit and then the hose pushed onto the copper pipe.

I'm also stuggling with temperature control. I've got a standard spirit thermometer reading 63 deg c, the popular hooked metal probe thermo next to it reading 76 deg c and the PID reading 65 deg c.

I'm going to have to find a second reliable thermo b4 I can continue.

On a more constructive note my sight tube gear has arrived.

Vossy - you're having a 'mare mate
I would say that adequately sums it up

Just makes me more determined....oh yes.

Resistance is futile...the snake will be tamed...so to speak
