These look useful, if not a little expensive but then you do get insulation & foil ?

HERE

May take a look at a length of this for my new boiler =D>
Fermenting - Nothing
Conditioning - Nothing
Drinking - Tea
Planning - Everything, if only I had the time ... !!

I ordered one yesterday afternoon and it arrived first thing this morning! It has a Tesco label showing a price of £3.77.

Matt arrived last week & looks to be good quality.

Fitted it to my boiler over the weekend & it went on sweet, just need to finish off the joining/sealing with some aluminium tape I've bought, which should help to seal it & thus make it 'wipe cleanable'.

Once it's completed, I'll be interested to see how it effects the boil time.

Anyways, at £4.95 delivered, it's deffo worth the experiment.

Funky, there are less-well-dressed satellites in orbit ;)
*thinking well ahead of myself, I may make a HLT with insulation like this eventually* :)

So the foil backing is just decorative to make your kit look shiny-shiny? 8)
I thought for insulation purposes eg on a mash tun, the foil went on the inside.

Looks like I'll have to get the pink mat coz I've got both a lager & a shandy in FVs. OMG!

They look very smart.

Just ordered one. Will save me wrapping mine in water tank covers every time.

TBH I wasn't sure which way round it was supposed to go, but I figured that it's easier to clean splashes of wort off the shiny side rather than off the foam rubber, and insulation-wise it's probably swings & roundabouts anyway.
