I have just bottled my Coopers Australian lager after seven days in the fermenter. I have never done this kit before. It fermented fine for three days with a big frothy head but then stopped dead. I left if for a day thinking it must be finished quick, but I gave it a bit of a shake and it woke up and continued fermenting for another two days.
I made the kit with 1KG of BKE and 200G of standard sugar (as per a recommendation).
Anyway as said, just bottled it. I had a little taste and it seems to taste fine. The FG is 1008 (SG 1042). Is a FG of 1008 about right?

Re: Coopers Aussie Lager FG???
The important thing is to get the same SG reading two days running.
Best wishes

Fingers crossed I'll have something nice to drink in a few weeks.

You will, I did.
mine went mental for a day, oozing foam through the gap in my lid.
settled right down, i left it for 3 more days, had 2 constant readings of 1008, bottled in 2l bottles with a spoonful of sugar. 5 days in the house, 5 days in the outdoor shed/room type thing under my steps and bingo! crisp fizzy lager to whet the whistle!
you'll be sorted mate. just wish i could leave it alone long enough to find out wht it's like when it's had a couple of months to really settle into itself!
nevermind...
enjoy

I found a bottle of Coopers Lager that I bottled 4 months ago (amongst they many, many bottles I have). It still tasted nice but had a very strong citris taste and aroma. I found it pleasant, if a little tartAdy1975 wrote:You will, I did.
