Personally I've never found the need for finings. Some yeasts are more troublesome than others, but handled correctly and given time the beer should clear. When you transferred to the keg were you careful not to aerate, had the beer fully fermented out and how long have you waited for the beer to clear? Cornies do help in that they are taller and allow for higher pressures but people get good results with plastic kegs too.

Me neither, although I only bottle not keg, but the lager which I have just bottled (week ago) is nearly clear already.

I only keg my ales and find that finings are a waste of money and effort.

When the beer is clear, with a bottom tap keg, then it's mature and ready to drink.

I used Harris Beer Brite finings, when kegging a Nelson's revenge, was still a bit cloudy after 4 weeks, so won't use them again. The beer did condition properly, i.e it still had the expected fizz, so the finings didn't seem to prevent it for me.
Cheers.
