Hi,
I started off my Coopers IPA kit 2 days ago. All went well, and I was surpirised at how much warmth is retained in the FV simply by wrapping in a quilt. Things seem to be bubbling along nicely.
However, I realised I made a slight error. Coopers recommend using 500g spraymalt and 300g coopers dextrose. After reading another recommended suggestion here, I had instead planned to use 500g light spraymalt, 500g medium spraymalt and 250g brew sugar.
Thinking I knew the mix well enough not to double check, I managed to muddle things around and have actually used 250g light spraymalt, 250g medium spaymalt and 500g brew sugar.
I am a bit annoyed about having deviated from my intended proportions. I am not sure if I can or should do anything about this. Would it be an option to add in another 250g of disolved spraymalt to compensate at this stage - is this possible, or should I leave well alone, and see how it turns out?
If it makes any difference, I will be bottling when fermentation is completed and not using keg

You can, but it would not be a disaster if you didn't.

Re: First Coopers IPA underway
Hi
I'll be starting my first coopers IPA tomorrow. Will be adding spraymalt etc but more than what is recommended on the pack, i have also been told that adding Goldings to the brew will also give it a much better taste. Has anybody else tried adding this?
Cheers
