Will do mate, I won't be doing the stout for a while though as I prefer to drink it in the winter when my kegs are at the right temperature.

Where is your local brewshop - I too am near Hereford and have not found anywhere - am fed up of having to buy online!!!

There's also Philip Morris in Hereford city centre, they have a small homebrew section.

It seems there are more local boys in here than I anticipated... Possible future beer-meet?

I had found Peter Morris but having read through some of Normski's posts could tell that he was getting stuff from an alternative source. I thought that I would find out as I often find that I can't get what I want from PM.

Anyway it's great to see that in cider country the beer is flowing!!!

I kicked off one of my stout kits last Thursday evening and it has fermented out to 1.012, Kegged it today. Looks like Muntons may have sorted it

I put a wherry on yesterday at 3pm i rehydrated the yeast before pitching and the bugger had blown the airlock this morning believe it or not. The krausen is up to the lid which is domed from all the co2 and it has a good crustly layer of yeast on it. Just been to check the airlock and it's bubbling like crazy now.

I've not brewed for a fair number of years, now I've moved house I thought I'd start it up again. I'd not tried a lager kit before and having used Muntons in the past with great success (conkerwood and highland heavy I think) I went for the Continental Pilsner. It's been 9 days now and I'm still stuck at 1.020 If only I'd found this forum/thread earlier I'd have gone for a Coopers kit instead (esp as they use proper lager yeast). I've decided to try a light stirring and moving the brew to a warmer area to see if that will kickstart it. Does stirring give any decent results or will I have to make a trip to the brew shop for some nutrients?

Has a bit of a update on this thread ive just kegged a wherry this morning standard brew made with S04, anyway got some bottles empty and thought i'd get another one on straight away to bottle

So anyway out of interest i used about a 1/3 of a pint of the left over yeast from the previous brew, now i dont know if this is a mistake but as im sat here typing its doing a coopers stout and trying to make a break for it

Gotta say thats one healthy looking head on it as well, anybody any experience in this
