As is sort of tradition the babys head has to be well and truely wetted after birth and with this in mind i thought i would like to invite some friends around for a beer or several.
Even though it is still very early days and there are plenty of things that can go wrong, I thought it would be good to make the celebratory beer myself. It does not matter if it needs to condition in corny kegs for a few months either.
Being new to this AG game and having only ever brewed from ready established and tried recipies i wonder if there is anyone who might like to help me with a recipe.
I would be looking for a 5 gallon brew length ( 25 liters in kegs to be exact)
The beer should be well flavoured and darker than pale ale.
I have access to centennial hops, challenger, fuggles ,target, progress ,ekg, first goldings, a little pilgrim, cascade, and Northdown( and can likely get others if i need to).
I am looking for a tasty but not too hoppy beer suitable for wetting the babys head, without removing mine in the same instance.
I would really appreciate it if someone would be good enough to either suggest a recipe, or tell me how i go about deciding what i should use so i can put one together myself. I don't understand how this is all worked out, and neither do i have enough knowledge to know what hops do what.
Thanks.
