The US postal service is notoriously bad though and last time I checked there is no way of tracking your package.

I've never had anything lost by them and I've used them quite a bit.

I noticed the other day that the Royal Mail's tracking service is inspired - you can only 'track' your parcel once it's been delivered. Which is useful as you already know where it is then. It's at your house

Had 2 Corny taps posted from California to Florida when I was there 3 weeks ago. Only took a couple of days, no probs. I know that's not International postage though.

Never had any probs posting stuff to & from family in the States either from the UK.

Maybe I've just been lucky.

I just got back from Switzerland and they still use them for post-mix there.
I guess there are so many available cheap around US & UK because the industry swapped to bag in box?
