Looking for a recipe for this Mild. I had it last summer in London and was blown away. I'd love a recipe, if anyone has one, and, a recommendation for yeast for it.
Cheers,
Jim

Re: Rudgate Ruby mild
Never f**king heard of it. I pay no attention to all that champion beer of ... BS or the tossers who indulge in it.
Best wishes

I have to admit I did try it at the GBBF but I wasn't that impressed by it. I didn't think much of last years either so maybe they're looking at different things to me. I guess that they once choose Greene King IPA as the champion says a lot.
I'm surprised Brains' Dark doesn't do better. I love that beer and at the GBBF it blew the Rudgate out of the water. Sadly I don't have a recipe for that either.

Pale malt from regina and pearle varieties
blended with chocolate malt, brewing sugar and caramel are added and beer is primed in cask with brewing sugar to encourage a powerfull secondary fermentation
3.5%
colour is 110
bitterness is 22 challenger, fuggles and goldings
Cheers
