As the temperature is dropping I thought I'd make a simple beer. It's currently 16º in the hall of my flat.
> 95% Lager malt with a tiny bit of amber for colour
Mash at 68º
Nelson Sauvin hops to a bitterness of 36
Target OG 1039
Ferment with Nottingham at 16º
Any opinions?

Re: Amber
Well that was easy. I used my mango chutney boiler although I haven't finished it yet ... will have to pour it through a sieve into the FV! But I didn't electrocute myself or flood the kitchen, although I do now have a fair bit of water vapour floating about, hope it doesn't get damp.

A simple ale made with kiwi hops is one of the finer things in life! Should be good!Invalid Stout wrote:As the temperature is dropping I thought I'd make a simple beer. It's currently 16º in the hall of my flat.
