Hi,
Can someone tell me the self life/expiry date of the beer made from kit, once it is bottled?
If it is stored in a cold place ( 5 to 12C degrees), what is the self life I could expect?
Thank you and regards
P.D. Apologies if this question has already been answered, but I couldn't find it inmy searches.
Once bottled, what is the self life?
Re: Once bottled, what is the self life?

How does the temperature range affect storage life I have mine in a concrete shed with a fibre corrogated roof . I've never actually measured the temperature suppose I should really LOL but I reckon it's about 2or 3 degrees below air temp all year which means in winter could well be below freezing . Anybody any thoughts on that?
Re: Once bottled, what is the self life?
I've bottles that kept no problem for over a year, in fact the oldest I've in stock at present is from October 2008 and it's a nice drop. Got to say, some of the hops are lost after that time but nowadays, if I know I will be storing beers long term, I ensure they are over 6% and hop them into oblivion; not good after 4 weeks but (some) have been A1 after 40. atc, your shed sounds ideal for lagering

Ahh that may explain why I can make decent lagers now always used to struggle with them !!!
