Not a bad idea, although I did omit that from my personal statement. I figured they might take it as a negitive,.

Was worried they might think im a bit of an alky...

Just drinking my http://pdtnc.wordpress.com/2009/12/12/a ... -warriors/ bittered with Pacific Gem but with lots of NS at 15mins and 80c steep for 20mins..
its got a good almost chalky bitterness that is begging to be more bitter... it needs the pucker-factor I think  Loads of flavour that really lasts in your mouth.
Your serious IPA should be a beauty :)

Yup. I think its going to be a week today or so today.

What do you think of the final recpie?

200 grams of late/dry NS in 17L should be a nice kick.

I think NS are one of them hops where you really have to go over the top with. Too little and I think you get that cat piss flavour. Adding a lot -eg 50+IBU's gives a lovely flavour :D

Out of the two NS recipes I've done, the better beer was actually the one with Less hops, the one with a higher IBU and extra bittering from Pacific Gem has aged to give a slight sour edge... though it was good young drinking. :)
