Length of 8mm pipe that loops back to a 15mm T-piece compression fitting that has reducers fitted to accept the 8mm. Using an angle grinder we put in cuts along the length of the 8mm pipe. The standard tap was replaced with a 15mm bulkhead onto a tap. We drilled the bulkhead fitting out so that a bit of 15mm pipe can be pushed all the way through and I can get fittings on the inside and outside.
I filled it up and drained it and there seems a good flow through. Slightly slower than without the loop but nothing major.
I went for this setup as whirlpooling will make the crud gather in the middle.
The compression fittings allow me to remove the ring when using it to provide boil water or pasturising.
Any thoughts?
