My tuppence is that by empirical experimentation, I have found out that 1g of dry whole flower hops will absorb around 15ml of wort. So just multiply that number by the total amount of hops you end up using, then add your boiler deadspace and you're good to go.

Same for dry hopping.

So that's an extra 3.3L brew length I'm aiming for (to drink the dry hops)... and an extra 3.4L in the kettle (allowing for evap) ... oh dear, I might have to pad it out with lager malt in that case :D

Im sure they have recently tweaked the recipe for the Hardcore IPA, so any info found on it could relate to a potentially different beer depending on which version of it youve had!

BD says they changed the recipe, but I made the assumption that they updated the right page on their site...

bd change the hop profiles a lot, you just cant rely on hop availability all year.
