Hi Everyone and thanks for looking,
I am new to brewing have done only 2 kits previously. I am flirting with AG i have a 30 ltr boiler a mash tun that is not completed its an insulated tea urn 5 gallons need to make a manifold yet so am going to use the boiler and a mash and sparge bag just now. Also i have a copper coil for cooling the wort. I hope this is enough equipment for a brew? The following recipe is my plan for a chocolate coffee stout. The liquid extract that i am using to make up the best part of the OG is a brupak 2 can kit honley mild, I won this on ebay for around 6 quid as lucky dip not really into mild so thought it would be good for a bit of experimentation. I am not sure of the level of hops in the kit so have kept the added hops on the low side. I am going to add cold brewed coffee and chocolate extract in the secondary and possibly a bit of vanilla extract still on the fence with that one.I would appreciate any input on my plan

Is this correct for stout partial mash
Re: Is this correct for stout partial mash
Grain bill looks good to me.
Not sure about the hops though:
a) Not sure there's too much point in a 0min addition, as all those roast grains will be dominating the flavour/aroma
b) Why Williamette? Just cos that's what you have? I'd use a higher alpha hop if i had one, and less of it.

Re: Is this correct for stout partial mash
I haven't done a kit brew since i was a teenager, but if the kit doesn't require hopping then i guess it must already have some in, so yes unless you want it very bitter you should probably reduce the added hops quite a bit.
