Could use that much, but I would probably use 100g if I did it again.
I'm gonna brew this one on Sunday. I've got my WLP833 starter on the stir plate ready to crash cool tomorrow. I think I'm gonna keep it simple and go 50/50 pils & munich malt. 100g Cara III as suggested by 196osh and all Tettnang on the hops to get 20IBU.
My problem is I always want to complicate my recipes by adding a bit of this and a bit of that. My original recipe for this dunkel included 200g of amber malt!!
Saying that I've just tasted my first Vienna lager brew from last year (brewed back in November) and that was a right hotchpotch :- Pilsner \ Vienna \ Munich malt \ Carared \ Torrefied Wheat \ Tettnang & Saaz and I have to say it's a beauty!!!
