hello all just been rooting around the shed and found a bottle of nuclear ipa i bottled on 18/april/11 and wow it tastes so much like goose island ipa i wouldnt tell them apart. weird thing is the hops i used there not in goose island!
for 40 litres
7000 grams pale malt (warminsters)
light muscavado sugar 500grams
oat malt 500grams
wheat malt 500grams
mash hops
12grams simcoe
12grams green bullet
12grams pacific gem
FWH
5grams simcoe 12.2%aa
5grams green bullet 13.9%aa
5grams pacific gem 15.6%aa
hops in the boiler
simcoe 12.2%aa. 20grams 90minutes
green bullet 13.9%aa. 20grams 90minutes
pacific gem 15.6% 20grams 90minutes
green bullet 13.9%aa 50grams 15minutes
simcoe 12.2%aa 50grams 15minutes
pacific gem 15.6%aa 50grams 15minutes
dry hop for 7 days!

yeast used US-05 fermented for 2 weeks and secondary and dry hopped for 7 days. and so many months later wow what a beer. not so bitter after all and very very moreish with a massive foamy head yummy!

Goose island ipa is one of my favourite beers. just added this recipe to my 'to do' list. Nice one!
