
Well I bought one as did others from this forum. With its central boiling element it was a bit lack-lustre in its ability to get a good rolling boil going. I decided to strip down an old kettle and add a second element. I didn't stop there as I have read about insulating and decided I would use up some gash timber I had lying around.
I built a rough frame around the boiler and then squirted in some expanding foam. Too much in fact so I had some cutting to do once it had set! I then finished it off with some wood stain and now its a 'Turbo boiler'!!
I cranked it up today with a Brewers choice 'Best bitter' kit added to with1Kg of D.M.E.
