Hi this is a recipe i have converted down from 100 bbls batch, this recipe is straight from from the
horses mouth so to speak via the Jamil show who interviewed the head brewer then brewed the recipe
dont know how this one tastes but am going to brew this when I get home in a couple of weeks I
had to adjust the hop amounts a bit to match the IBU stated from SN Brewer and the hop rates stated
Any comments previous experience brewing this would be appreciated
I think this may be an excellent tipple over the festive

Kind Regards

Denis

Celebration Ale is brilliant. I much prefer it to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
Its like a red/amber hop bomb, and if you like that sort of thing will go down great.
The sweetness of the crystal really balances out the hops.
Its really moreish for its ABV.
Will have to try this recipe myself once i've got through the other hundred or so I've told myself I must make next.

Good to hear a good report i have just ordered the the ingredients from malt miller i got the cascade in leaf but the chinook and centenial are pellet hops i have never used pellets i think you have to use 10% less or something also i guess that i will have to put a cut off from miladies stockings over my hop filter anybody out there able to clarify this idea will it work?

Regards

Denis

Hey there Barney

Dont know yet its sitting in secondary as i didnt have enough time to bottle before i left for work i get home on Saturday so will be sure to let you know there was every indication its onna be good when i tasted a wee sneaky bit while transfering it also it should be crystal clear as its been outside in my shed and the weather has been a tad cold back home i believe. a small difference is that i used cascade hop extract to dry hop rather than whole hops as i wasnt too sure about leaving the hops in there for a whole month :?: but im sure the extract will be good enough

There are calculators for converting pellets to leaf and vice versa. I have one on brewzor for Android

mash at 69c sounds a bit high, wont this be a bit sweet, or will the high hop profile balance it?
no palate, no patience.

Drinking - of course

If i remember correctly i didnt mash at 69 i think it was 67 cant be sure untill i get home also if i remember ok my efficiancy was a bit higher and my FG was about there when i transfered into secondary again the FG wont be confirmed untill i get home also i used US05 as my yeast so it may end up a bit lower than anticipated i used the super yeast on an apa things didnt go to plan as per another thread i made so i chucked in some us05 so probably have a mix yeast brew on the apa.I could have washed and repitched but due to time constraints it was easier to just chuck in the s05 so watch this space next week for an update on how things went!!!
