Re: aramis hops?
I've got the same parentage as my sister, doesn't mean we're the same though (fortunately)!
I think you'd better be our Guinea Pig, in the name of beer.

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!
Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober! - WSC

true very true. i will be your guinea pig then. hopefully brewday sunday. going for a marstons pedigree. using aramis as a subsitute for whitbread goldings. and using my fuggle pellets for fuggle leaf..... i am sure i will drink it. never made a bad tasting beer yet even after totally bollocksing everything up

I've got 100g in the freezer and was thinking something more continental with it! Like the idea of using it in a BRA though!
Re: aramis hops?
Stone are using it apparently http://blog.stonebrew.com/?p=2493 "some of the descriptors I got: floral, earthy, woody, Earl Grey, lemon, hay, herbal."
I need to read the book which looks a lot less fun than brewing with it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aramis-Love-Tec ... 0674043235

Re: aramis hops?
Parentage vs terroir - the latter seems to trump the former. Styrian Goldings 'are' fuggles (same hop - not just same parentage) but grown in a different place. So may be VERy different from WGVsalfie09 wrote:anyone? i was thinking of using them as a replacement for whitbread goldings. i read they got the same parentage?
