Second brew nerves - with Doggy pics. !!!

OK

Tonight's test is my Coopers Irish Stout , I'm trying my brews young and making notes for future knowledge ;)

Bottled for 1 week

2 litre pet bottle again, poured into a 5 litre pet , then sucked straight through my pump =D>

How does it taste ? Very lovely, toffee and liquorice flavours, nice creamy stout head.

From what I read, these beers improve with time, even better :D

It's not Guinness, but it's just as good as other commercial stouts I've tasted, very drinkable and worth staying in for :o

did you notice the head dissipate whilst drinking, or stay to the bottom?

just drank all my irish stout, poored from bottle; very poor head retention made of visible bubbles (was expected - didn't wait till it was carbed properly before drinking)

as in; does the pump help keep the head (by smashing the bubbles into finer ones (?)),

thanks!

I poured some into a glass from the bottle, same result as you got.

The rest went through the pump and sparkler,it settled slowly, as a Guinness does, sort of falling into itself if you know what I mean ? almost a different beer, just like a pub pint, creamy head lasted all the way.!! =D>

thanks, i noticed in the other thread the "cascading effect" look of your pint!, did you note any difference in taste from the two methods ?, (without any placebo effect of a sexy looking pint vs a pond water one)?

Millemg; I've just got to ask ..... What do ye suppose it is with us stout drinkers and scruffy little, black and tan coloured terriers with long, skinny legs?

Only, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw yours. Here's my one. She's called " Rats " .....

There's a lot to be said about stout drinkers that can't be posted on this site, not as strange as cider drinkers is the best I can think of.
