Today I am brewing this....

Its now been in the boiler for 17 minutes. I'm timing it to see how long it takes to reach the boil because I'm unsure how long it takes to get there, I'd guess at around an hour.

The wort looks like this...

10 Minutes of the cold steep to go.

I got a shock when putting the post boil cascade in. I got them in a swap with a Jim's member, they turned out to be pellets. I hopped them at like for like so no idea what will happen?

That's dark stuff!

I've never used hop pellets so can't help on that one, but I'm sure it'll be fine either way.

The pellets should be fine, perhaps a slightly better yield but not much different really. The main one is if they'll work well with your hop filter or not.

I wanted it to look like ink, its a shade or two too light.

Thanks. They did block it up a little but not too bad.

I think you can change the number of significant digits on the IBU prediction that your software uses. I think that the estimate of 33.7552478464385 is not really as precise as it makes it look - especially if you used hop pellets rather than flowers which tend to give slightly more bitterness. ;)
