Post by rossi74 » Wed Dec 19, 2012 10:31 pm

Just a quickie

I'm thinking of trying finnings (harris beer bright) in an snpa I've got in a cornie. Now can I just add to the cornie and then hook up the gas when its done and pull the crap through the tap or should I siphone off to another vessal then back to the cornie?

Any input most welcome

Cheers kyle

Use a hand blender to mix a sachet into 250 ml of pre boiled water, drop it into the Cornie and give it a gentle stir. 1st half pint pulled will be cloudy, but after that it will be as clear as a bell. Transferring to another vessel will simply increase the chance of infection and is not necessary. I've even put finned cornies in the car and transported them away for a weekend camping. 24 hours to settle and the beer is as clear as anything you can buy in the local.
